Choya
June 6, 1999 – July 16, 2009
It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you all, my dear Choya passed on to the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. He was surrounded by Cathy, me and all of his good friends at the Alta Vista Animal Hospital. All who knew Choya at the AVAH fell in love with his charm and good looks.
My buddy helped me through some extremely difficult times during the past 10 years. Our love for each other grew as each day passed which will stay with me until I see him again.
Thank you Kate and Denis of Hollymere Goldens for introducing me to my friend 10 years ago. It was a timeless journey that we both made together.
I miss him - a lot!
Peter
One of my favorite poems.
Heaven's Doggy-Door
My best friend closed his eyes last night,As his head was in my hand. The Doctors said he was in pain, and it was hard for him to stand.
The thoughts that scurried through my head,As I cradled him in my arms. Were of his younger, puppy years,And Oh...his many charms.
Today, there was no gentle nudgeWith an intense "I love you gaze",Only a heart that's filled with tearsRemembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,And he said, "You should cry no more,GOD also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door'!!!
